How are Jim and Huck feeling the first few nights of rafting?

THey find a sense of freedom that both find exciting. Jim, of course, is glad to be free from slavery and Huck is glad to be away from "civilized society". The two bond quite well and the scenes are peaceful and filled with, what a boy might consider , contentment.
