How does Huck deal with the conflict with Jim?

Huck sticks by Jim until the very end of the story. Despite Slave Catchers on their trail, Huck tries his best to keep Jim safe. Huck doesn't subscribe to the racist attitudes the South generally has towards blacks like Jim.
