List and briefly explain the misrepresentation up until this chapter that Tom Sawyer believes to be the truth?

Tom misrepresents his gang of robbers..... after they realize that they were only there to pretend, the boys all quit. 

We played robber now and then about a month, and then I resigned.  All the boys did.  We hadn't robbed nobody, hadn't killed any people, but only just pretended.
