what is the rising action of ch 1-5

Rising action is anything that happens that makes the reader want to read on. Pick the events that you think create suspense and make the reader want to read on. Tom and Huck forming their "gang" makes the reader wonder what is happening next. The reader might also wonder what will happen between Huck and his father, a man known as Pap who only wants Huck's fortune to become repeatedly drunk.
