What's the purpose of Chapter 14?
In my opinion, Twain's purpose in Chapter Fourteen was to accentuate the differences between Jim and Huck. Jim looks at things from a more mature standpoint. He wants to get where he's going.... no messig around. Huck is still a boy, and it shows. He enjoys the adventure... the drama if you will.
