Although Huck's reaction to Widow Douglas’ attempts at civilization are humorous, there is a sense that Huck isn't meant for his Aun'ts prescribed idea of how people should act. Huck really a stifled free spirit. Huck finds the description of hell far more enticing and exciting than the description of heaven, and decides he would rather go to hell, but doesn't tell Miss Watson of his decision.
