Why didn't Huck and Jim turn around after they realized they missed Cairo?
So I understand that Huck and Jim may have had reasons to go south rather than north at least originally. They had to go south to get to the Ohio River.
But then they miss Cairo. Rather than turn around they just keep going further and further south. They go further and further into slave territory.
What were they thinking? Did they have a plan?
