Why does Huck wish that Tom Sawyer had been present when he fools his Pap and gets away from the cabin?

Huck always played second to Tom, especially Tom's own story. Tom was the clever one. Tom came up with the grandiose plans and Huck merely helped facilitate. Huck's clever plan in eluding his Pap was, he felt, worthy of one of Tom's plans. Huck looks up to Tom because they come from similar backgrounds. Somehow Tom was able to live larger than life. He lived by his own rules, in the moment and he caught people's attention. Huck liked that.
