How Tom and Huck are contrasted while treasure hunting?

Huck thinks more deeply about things than Tom. Tom wants to go to the haunted house to dig for treasure. Tom is interested in the adventure of it all. Digging for treasure really is a metaphor for the call to adventure. Huck is weary of going to the haunted house. Huck considers the metaphysical ramifications of disturbing such a place while Tom simply wants the adventure,

"I don't like ha'nted houses, Tom. Why, they're a dern sight worse'n dead people. Dead people might talk, maybe, but they don't come sliding around in a shroud..." (ch. 25)
