What is Tom's scheme at Sunday school, and what is the eventual result of this scheme? What does this episode tell you about him?

Tom wants to win the Bible at Sunday school, not so much because he wants the Bible but becuse he wants to be the winner. Thus, he trades anything he can find to accumulate the tickets he needs to win the Bible..... tickets that were handed out for successfully memorizing each week's verses. In the end, Tom wins the Bible and when asked for the names of two of Jesus' disciples, he answers incorrectly. From this episode, we learn that Tom believes everything has a price, and that hard work holds no importance. Note.... this is very similar to the episode in which Tom whitewashes the fence, meaning that "he" doesn't.
