In Part II, Chapter III, Santiago must face his fear of failure. He's frightened that like others, he will not find his Personal Legend. His heart is agitated and unsure, but the Alchemist tells him that "Treason is a blow that comes unexpectedly," comes the reply. "If you know your heart well, it will never be able to do that to you."
