The Alchemist (Coelho)

Section 6: pages 143-167

While turning himself into the wind, who/what does Santiago speak to? What does the desert say he will give Santiago? Why does the wind say that he and Santiago aren't the same? Why does Santiago say they are the same? What thing does neither the desert, wind, or sun understand, and how does Santiago describe it? What was the only thing that could turn Santiago into the wind?

1) Santiago speaks to the desert.

2) Then it told him, "I'll give you my sands to help the wind to blow, but, alone, I can't do anything. You have to ask for help from the wind."

3) "You can't be the wind," the wind said. "We're two very different things."
