The Autobiography of an Ex-Colored Man
What are the tragedies in this book?
any kind of big major tragedies or small minor tragedies
any kind of big major tragedies or small minor tragedies
In my opinion, the most noteworthy tragedy in the text is the narrator's inability to be himself..... to be valued for his true identity, regardless that he is biracial. The narrator's journey is long and enlightening, but in the end, he finds it necessary to embrace his "whiteness" in order to succeed..... to make his fortune. In essence, he sacrifices his heritage for self-interest.
