This verse has to do about being honest about what you profess and not use the Lord's name in the swearing of anything. I suppose an example might be if you swore on God's name that you would help a friend do deliver newspapers. God should not be involved with your oath whether you break it or not. God should not be held accountable for human oaths that can be broken. That's my take!
