Can someone give a sum up of the book???

The story is narrated by Death and is set in a world that is basically without words on paper. It is set in Nazi Germany and focuses on a child who starts reading and writing when she comes to the home of Hans Hubermann and his wife. The book details her journey through learning and experiencing all that the Nazis do to hurt the people. There are many good summaries out there on various websites. New movie coming out sometime in November.
