Does Liesel's hostility towards Ludwig Schmeikl justify what caused her attack?

Ludwig was unquestionably teasing Liesel, but I believe her attack on Ludwig came from a different place. It wasn't the fact that he was teasing her, but the fact that his teasing was based upon her inability to read.
