At the end of the chapter, Liesel thinks, “That makes two weeks…Two weeks to change the world, and fourteen days to ruin it” (388). What does she mean by this?
Liesel knew that the two weeks she had to read to Frau Holtzapefel would afford her time to change the way she looked at the war and the Jewish people. Her actions could improve the way Frau Holtzapefel saw things..... or they could make things worse.
