From the book “The Book Thief” what does the phrase “I can be amiable. Agreeable. Affable

This is Death describing himself to the reader. It is difficult to personify an entity like Death. Zusak needed to give Death something of a personality for readers to relate to. Zusak uses a clever alliteration to suggest. Death is not necessarily a bad personality rather just misunderstood.
