In the book The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, Lisel has complex relationships with her foster parents, Hans and Rosa. In what ways do they show how they feel about her and each other?

Hans is very close to Rosa. He shares his feelings and is truly a father figure to Liesel. He nurtures her and provides comfort for her. Rosa is more distant to Rosa but as the book goes on we can see her concern for the girl. She shows her love for Rosa through her concern in her own way.
