in the section " Death and Chocolate " who might you infer the bookn theif is ? has he or she already been named ?

From this section, the first, I wouldn't be able to name the book thief if I hadn't already read the novel. We know that Death has seen the book thief three times, but we know little else. I would have to say that the thief has not been named at this point.
