liesel has been described as smart but i cant think of an example to prove that she is... does anyone have any ideas?

Liesel is very intelligent. When she arrives at the Hubermann's, she can't even read but soon catches on and catches up. None-the-less, I think Liesel's most important knowledge comes in the way she sees people, her innate ability to do and say the right thing at the right time. Think back to the stories she read during the air raids..... she knew exactly what to do, and rather than panic and be frightened..... she eased the fears of those around her.
