Molching- the setting of the story
The Hubermann's home- where Liesel goes to live
The Mayor's house- where Liesel escapes to read
The Hubermann's basement- where Max hides
The Amper River- where Rudy jumps into the freezing water to retrieve Liesel's book
Himmel Street- the block on which the Hubermann's live, Liesel plays, and many lives are eventually lost
