What is beautiful and ugly about Rudy and Rosa?

Rudy is beautiful because he has no sense of hatred or prejudice. He is a good friend, well he has a crush on her, to Liesel and he stands up for what he believes him. I'm not sure he has an "ugly" side. He does get into fights but that is because he stands up for what he thinks is right. Liesel is articulate, passionate, and kind. She tends to be impulsive but that is part of what makes her so passionate and unique.

Rosa's "ugliness" is her outward disposition. She tends to nag her husband and has trouble showing affection. She, however, is very loyal and deeply feels for others without expressing it.
