At the end of the novel we learn that Max has survived the camp, but we don't know what happened to him after he and Liesel had their reunion.

What happens to Liesel's mother? Does she die? If so does Liesels have a funeral/some other way to help her move on? If she didn't die do Liesel and her get reunited after the war?
