What was papas reaction when he discovers that Liesel has stolen another book?

This is when Papa discovers Liesel can barely read. As a result he begins teaching her the alphabet by writing on the back of a piece of sandpaper. The lessons progress and Liesel eagerly learns to read and write in very little time. This shows us Papa's compassion and gentle concern for Liesel.
