Christmas Eve? Christmas day is actually never mentioned.
On Christmas Eve 1942, the Hubermanns home had no presents, and only a small amount of food, but they did have a snowman in their basement. The family was safe, and they were together. A fire, some accordion music, and a snowman were all they needed to make the day a special one.
