1.) why did mother go to prison to try and get father out ?
the story says that she went but it doesnt say why !!!!!
2.) what was the walk to prison like ??
its say a little what they seen and passed but doesnt say much about how ot felt for parvana!!!!!!
1) All we are told is that mother demanded his release. We can infer that based on his innocence, she believed that she would succeed in bringing him home.
2) The trip to the prison was long, exhausting, and fearful. They were in danger of arrest, they had no method of travel except to walk, and they being turned over to the police.
There were a few other women in the street and they all wore the regulation burqa, which made them all look alike.
If Parvana lost track of her mother, she was afraid she'd never find her again.
Now and then, her mother stopped beside a man and a woman, or a small group of men, or even a peddler boy,
and held out a photograph of Father. She didn't say anything, just showed them the photo. Parvana held her breath every time her mother did this. Photographs were illegal. Any one of these people could turn Parvana and her mother over to the militia.
