How are the character of Grusha and Azdak important to the message of the play

Grusha gives and pays throughout the play without getting anything in return like the proletariat. Although she does not expect ant justice from Azdak, he does help her. Azdak is a sort of "Robin Hood" figure who turns justice around. Azdak is generally a miserable man but refuses to inflict misery on others.
