Ruth feels what after her mom dies?

Ruth experiences extreme grief after her mother's death. She was told to stay away when Mameh got sick; her aunt told her she was dead to them. It took Ruth a very long time to forgive herself for marrying outside of her race, and in turn being shunned by her family. This is the time that Ruth began to turn to Christianity, leaving her Jewish background behind.
