What is Mr.________'s occupation?

He appears to do very little, but has a farm and land (which it is revealed belongs to Celie) suggesting that this is how he earns what he has. Harpo, his son, seems to do a little of the work and he and Sofia renovate a tumbledown property on the land to live together as a family.

tracey, i dont believe that the Mr's land is revealed to belong to Celie--it was actually her Stepfather (Alfonso's) land that belonged to Celie when her mother left it for her whens she passed away. Alfonso was so cruel that he never told her.

safe to say Mr's job was farm handler of sort
