explain the statement made by danforth "a person is either with the court or he or she must b counted against it,their be no road between." is this true?

Danforth is obviously someone who values order and religious purity (hence, Puritans) above all. This statement is symptomatic of that fundamental belief. Whether that is true or not is, of course, a matter of conviction. Although in my opinion, it is difficult to be fully "with" or "against" anything at all! That is just not how the world works, it seems.
