Mrs. Putnam sees Rebecca Nurse as judgmental.

"Let God blame me, not you, not you, Rebecca! I'll not have you judging me any more!"

Hale sees her innocence.

"Believe me, Mr. Nurse, if Rebecca Nurse be tainted, then nothing's left to stop the whole green world from burning."

Proctor sees her as a saint.

"Let Rebecca go like a saint; for me it is fraud!"
