Why does Elizabeth Proctor say "he have his goodness now" when her husband refuses to confess?

Proctor finally feels redeemed from his sin of infidelity. He has confessed and found goodness in him again. Elizabeth refuses to convince Proctor to start telling lies again, even if it is to save their lives from a corrupt court.
