Why is mrs. Putnam so quick to believe that goody osburn is a witch ?

Seven of Mrs. Putnam's kids had died as babies. She really is out to blame somebody. Goody Osburn assisted Rebecca Nurse in midwife duties during the births. This makes her an easy target for Mrs. Putnam.
