What are Christopher’s challenges?

Because of his Aspergers Syndrome, Christopher is regularly challenged by things we think of as natural and ordinary. He lacks imagination and empathy, he has tunnel vision when he becomes fixated on a certain topic or task, he doesn't understand jokes or sarcasm, and he sees no point in small talk. These challenges isolate Christopher, but although he knows he is "different", he isn't overly concerned.
