When Christopher’s father arrives, he and his mother argue about Christopher. Who do you feel is more at fault, his mother who left or his father who lied about his mother’s death? Explain

I believe them to be equally at fault. His mother left; no one made her, no one asked her to, and no one wanted her to/ She simply left becasue she couldn't handle the cards she's been dealt, and all of the extra stress involved in caring for a son with Asperger's.

Christopher's father, did what many parents do. He protected his son in all the wrong ways and for all the right reasons. His intentions were good, but the outcome was bad.

No one can ever say exactly how they'll deal with something like this, and I would never presume in either of these cases to say they've done it wrong. Parents do the best they can, and every parent makes mistakes.
