Why do you think the author chose to put so many spelling and grammatical errors in Judy Boones letters?

The reasons for this are not really dealt with in the book. I could speculate that it might be to have a connection with Chris. Spelling or grammar may not have been a concern for Chris. Chris was more concerned with exact matematics and numbers.
