Clock

The clock suddenly stopped chiming.

Number one: the Westertoren bells stopped chiming, and I'd always found them so comforting.

We later learn that the bells were removed and melted down for the war..... likely for bullets.

We've all been a little confused this past week because our dearly beloved Westertoren bells have been carted off to be melted down for the war, so we have no idea of the exact time, either night or day.
