Describe some of the day to day problems encountered by the families.

Different people in the annexe have different problems. They are locked in a confined space with increasing amounts of people. They have no privacy to be a family. They are constantly worried about being found to. On top of this, Anne and her mother seem in conflict much of the time. Food is also rationed.
