How does the fact that Anne sometimes gets depressed and begins to view the world as confining and unhealthy affect the way readers view hers

The reader becomes sympathetic to her plight. Anyone living with Anne or going through this time with her (any Holocaust victim) or even reading her memoirs should be able to "feel" that sense of confinement to a certain degree. Have you read any of this novel? Would you feel confined and depressed in her situation? Would you enjoy being locked in small spaces with the same people day after day, always in fear of being discovered, never having any privacy or fresh air? I think not. How do you view her? I view her as being stronger than most anyone I know.
