what are the views of grown ups in annex?

Each of the grown ups acts differently. Mr. and Mrs. Frank seem the most sensible of the group; Mr. Frank has helped organize this "hideout," and he seems the most logical. Mr. and Mrs. VanDaan, on the other hand, seem to feel that they should be privileged throughout their stay. Petronella (Mrs. VanDaan) has a sense of entitlement, which makes her somewhat whiny throughout the stay. No one in the group had any idea going in that this situation would be so serious and so difficult. Mr. Dussel, when he arrives, does nothing to ease the tension in the Secret Annex. He is quirky, demanding, and hates sharing a space with Anne.
