Anne mentions Peter at different points through her diary. She becomes excited at the prospect of burgeoning love with Peter.At the same time Anne is aware that people change as they grow up.

In the meantime, things are getting more and more wonderful here. I think, Kitty, that true love may be developing in the Annex.
