In context, Look Smart is referring to the fact that he doesn't need Patricia anymore. In the past, Patricia aided him by giving him a rock to kill the fish... today, he is far more effective, and he is indifferent to her. Patricia remains somewhat naive, but Look Smart has learned through experience.
