Why might you want to avoid the use of acronyms and emoticons in business communication?

It might take the receiver of the message too long read the message. This might show the sender of the message is running short on time. Some receivers of the message might not know what they mean. The use of business lingo in the communication might not be appropriate. These are the options i have.
