Flood

The two accounts are similar, but yet, they are very different. As a result, there are people who believe that the Biblical account was influenced by the Epic of Gilgamesh, and there are those who find the accounts to be too different. The story of the flood itself is consistent, but the recording of the actual flood in the Middle East would likely be consistent. In essence, from the varied accounts of the flood, we can be certain of one thing...... and that would be that the flood occurred.
