What was the problem in the story? How did it resolved? Chapters 6-9
Armand considers a spot under the bridge to be his own home since he has lived there for so long. However, one day he returns to find three children have set up home under "his" bridge and being a gentleman who does not enjoy children, he is extremely upset about this. There is conflict between Armand and Madame Calcet when he takes the children to sing in the square and they earn tips as she feels this is begging.
Armand finally gets a job and is able to give the family a place to stay at a rooming house.
