What are the main differences between the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution?

The biggest difference between the Articles of Conferderation and the Constitution was the amount of control the states had, as opposed to the federal government. Under the Articles of Confederation, the federal government held very little power. The men who wrote the Articles of Confederation feared a strong federal government, believing it might lead to tyranny. The Constitution gave the federal government power.
