The Blue Man dies while trying to avoid hitting Eddie with his car. Eddie is chasing a ball into the street when the Blue man swerves the car to avoid hitting him. The close call gives the Blue man a heart attack and he dies. Although the Blue Man did not want to die, he knows that missing Eddie allowed the boy to keep on living.
