The little hands Eddie feels?

Tala's hands exemplified all of the good things Eddie did, the things that made up for the fire that caused her death. His time with Tala serves to wash away his sins and prepare him for heaven, the river water symbolizes baptism, and he is freed from earthly worries and regrets. Eddies finally finds happiness.
