Describe the process of transmission of memories? Chapter 9-11

The Giver transmits memories throught touch. The Giver began by touching Jonas' back. Next, the touch was replaced by coldness, and shortly after a feeling like pinpricks. Finally, Jonas became separate from himself, and he experienced the transmitted memories.
